if I understand the question correctly, highlight the notes that were recorded into Maschine already, shift + copy, open a new pattern, make it 8 bars, shift + paste.

or, press pattern and the double button up top and that will double your pattern from 4 bars to eight.

the initial question, "copying the 4/1 pattern to a length of 8/1, was to be done in the same group 'groupA' i just want to make the patterns longer!

i need to understand what you want to do.

so, you have recorded a 4 bar pattern and you want to double it to make it last for 8 bars. is that correct?

if it is correct..... press the Pattern button on your Controller and then press Double seen in the left display - by pressing button 2.

No, not the step button! What sowari said...

Also, you can do what awol said without the mouse...just use the select button to highlight the notes instead of the mouse!
