    hi,

question: why is it not possible to tell the reaktor installer a path to the user lib? and just leave older files untouched in there?

after installing 5.5, now i have two libs, and before opening reaktor the first time to play around now i have to sort out these libs for the next hours, cause if i change anything at any ens in reaktor this gonna be a great confusion to figure out where is what.... :(

this is really not cool for my opinion. or do i miss something?

    regards

    matthias

    ?

You do set the path to your own library; it's in your Reaktor preferences.

.... ahm, i thougt i told the path to the right drive, corse the user lib path is correct and i never store things on C:...now it says C: for factory...
will reaktor move the new lib if i change the path in prefs without destroing something or must i do it manually now?

    thx

No. You have to move it manually, and then change the path in preferences.

reaktor has always had 2 directories, the factory one and the user one.
the factory is inside the reaktor folder in applications/program (osx/win), while the user one is usually in documents folder, the first one should remain untouched so you are sure none of your works will be deleted after an update.
The user one is the one where you add your own stuff and UL downloaded ones.

they are both configurable by the way and easily accessible within the program, i like the way it is honestly.

Updates will never touch your user library

    cheers

As long as you don't keep your user stuff in with the factory stuff it won't. If you have your user content in the same library folder as the factory content, it will.

Never keep your user content in the factory library location.
