    Hi there,

ibm thinkpad t61 dual 2 ghz, 2gig ram, rme multiface1, m-audio biport2x4serial midi interface, waldorf mQ hardware synth, roland hpd-15 drum controller.

I`m new to reaktor but work with sound software and midi as a pro for 5 jears now.

I know this sounds weird but i´m suddenly not able to send a prg.change to anywhere within or outside reaktor. Note on/of or control change is sent with no problem. It worked 2 days ago and it is not working anymore, i tried it now for 2 days.

I monitor the midi output on 2 hardware interfaces (m-audio and rme with hardware synths attached) and midiox software (www_midiox_com) which shows the messages received in clear speech (type, channel, value etc...). it shows the notes I sent from reaktor correct, but if I change a snapshot in the instrument, there is no program change message sent anymore via midi.

    I tried it 2 ways:
1.make new empty instrument. midi out to “all devices”. Make new snapshots for this instr. Change snapshot with mouse: prg.change was sent, but suddenly not sent anymore. don´t understand :(

2.Make new empty instrument. midi out to “all devices”. create “snapshot”-module inside. Set “always active”. Attach “prgr.change” midi send at output “snap” plus numeric readout also at “snap”output of module. Numeric readout shows correct value (e.g. program nr.) when snapshot is changed, but I nowhere receive a program change message, neither on the hardware synts nor in midiox.

What drives me mad is the fact that it DID WORK once....

I tried every possible setting in properties dialog (recall by midi, store by parent, etc etc).

I have no midi loop anywhere in my setup.

Again: I can monitor and hear all notes and control change I sent with an R5 instrument, as they are sent correctly through the chosen midi interface and channel. but I CANT CHANGE ANY SOUND PROGRAMM anywhere. Seems like reaktor filters out the prg.chg messages.

I need this function very urgent, to remotely change the sound on my synths via reaktor snapshots. If this is a bug i´m not able to set up my live performance.........

    HOW TO SEND PROGRAM CHANGE?........

    Please help!

    thanx in advance

    matthias geiges

edit: if someone could verify me that changing a snap sends a prg.chg message on that channel would help also. then i know somethings wrong on my system....

    Solution: sending program change

had to choose in the instrument props/conections under the menue "ALL" "panel to midi out", then a prog.chg is sent when snap is changed per mouse.

would be much more practical to have a "panel to midi out" in the snap modul propertys....

    thx

still it´s a bug because instruments loose their "panel to midi" settings after re-opening and thus send no prg.chng messages anymore, you have to reactivate "panel to midi out" again after re-opening.......

if you make any changes to an Ensemble you have to re=save the Ensemble to keep the changes.

no use in re-saving, it will loose "panel to midi" anyway :)

    confirmed by natives support...

    thx
