Since installing Komplete 5, a random folder called "User Library" has appeared in my Documents folder. After a lot of head scratching and googling, I have worked out that this is to do with Reaktor.

So not only has my Documents folder been hijacked (how very Microsoft!) but the folder doesn't even identify itself!

Can I safely move this folder elsewhere, or at least rename it so it says "Reaktor" in the title?

    Thanks.

That's the default location for the user library as you've discovered.

You can move it anywhere you want, or you can delete it. Just make sure you have the paths to where you keep your user content named in Reaktor's preferences.

Also, don't keep your user library content in the Library subfolder in the Reaktor folder- the Library folder can be overwritten by updates.

Thanks, ew! I think I'll rename it "Reaktor User Library" and put it in the "Native Instruments" folder that is already in the Documents folder (I assume it is an oversight that it is not done this way already).

Talking of oversights, I see in Komplete 5 they still have not fixed the installer bug where it says it is going to make a Native Instruments sub-folder but then doesn't, instead strewing the different programs all over the Applications folder. This time I even took a screenshot of the "a folder will be created..." screen to make sure I wasn't going mad!

    Thanks again, Ew.
