Completely are Rane mixers. Denon has some like m but the pad distribution isn’t mpc-like etc.
That’s why I said “more into” as balanced. Being both under inMusic umbrella segmentation (and background) is a must. Denon came from mixing (even the 3700 was control crammed for being scratch paradise and hybrid mode worked so-so...) and Rane the opposite with this open format dj approach and twelves for the die hard (IMO).

Denons can be used for scratching but are less oriented than Ranes (to make a clear statement).

I know that the exact same platter tech that’s in the Denon’s are in the Ranes. They will all perform exactly the same when used with Serato the only difference is the platter sizes plus the Denon’s does it in standalone.

Yup that's should be for sure. I was talking mainly about marketing.
In fact is a trap because as you pointed both carry the same tech (from Numark who owns the patent) but they are differences related about how Prime vs Serato manage the platter data. I say that due some differences stated by users at forums but maybe they fix all of them like Akai is doing with the Live and One series). That aside the form factor (pad placements and so)

From the perform side all of these should (or better say must?) work flawless but my gut say that Rane hardware will perform better with Serato due internal management and "(false inMusic?) segmentation" or something we miss from it's bureaucratic hierarchy.

That's why I point "focused towards" and "balance".
Denon users (as a line, M series are the exception not the rule) will ask more for stability and mixing features.
Rane users (motorised platters are the rule and open format the new proposal) will ask more for fast response and flip features.

I know is gibberish try to explain it but that subtle differences will make a difference (probably forced by segmentation).
    Time will tell us.

Traktor division could be sold or maybe NI can join a partner... but it's clear the pro field is Pioneer and inMusic nowadays...

Whatever happened to the rumour of A&H in talks with NI.

Pioneer has been bought and sold a few times and it didn’t seem to affect them much. Can’t wait to see all the offerings this years.
