Does the 57 even have MIDI? If it does then sure it can be used in Traktor (however, not with timecode, for any of the newbies reading this) to control some of a whole bunch of functions. If it doesn't have MIDI...then...well, it doesn't work as a MIDI device in Traktor.

Well that is a problem, if ttm does not have midi, what the hell he got?

Well with one section on ttm57 you can control functions in SSL, well the question is what signal he sends if its not midi.

Well it is stupid if they locked they signal to use only with their SSL.

Plug it into traktor and see what happens. Does it show up in Traktor as a MIDI device?
    ---
Rane site says no: "U can't do that the ttm57 only works with serato u can't MIDI out outta the 57"
Well, some guy in their forum says so.

I was going to jump into this as well. The 57 is using a proprietary protocol to communicate with Scratch Live.

Also the asio latency is horrible with Traktor so you can't use it as a sound card, unless asio4all yields better results.

What's the latency you are getting?

I had to jack it up to 25ms or more to get it to work.

It wasn't a big deal though because we were just experimenting at the time.

Well it is working with traktor, but not with scatch, you cannot control tomecodes, i cent get the way to do that, but, with that and midi with traktor... that will be awesome

But just midi will be cool.

I was just trying to use it as a soundcard, midi control won't work unless someone cracks the protocol and creates a midi translator template for it.

Yep. See i am fair minded after all eh ?

No you are not right. No company wishes to have their equipment h*cked. They would rather not have your money than encourage h*cks.

Ok, discussion of h*cking is over. Further posts will be deleted in accordance with the rules.:D
