    Top five expansions?

    1. Astral Flutter (Out of the 8 that i own I enjoy this one the most)

    2. Velvet Lounge

    3. Crystal Daggers (Worth it even for hip hop producers)

    4. Halcyon Sky

    5. Lazer Dice (Only cos of some of the Kicks, Hats, Bass, Etc.)

    The worst expansions?

    1. Arcane Attic (All kits kind of sound the same to me)

    2. Prospect Haze (Sounds are 2 scratchy for my taste)

this is once area where NI is clearly ahead of Akai, in the area of soundpacks.

think if Akai wanna be competitive in this respect they would have to take the same approach as NI and work with artists of the actual genre that is being targeted by the sound pack.

I like prospect haze for underground hip hop stuff. Arcane Attic is different.

I really liked trying them all.

I've found that you can resell them if you don't like them. I've got a bunch for sale on KVR's website. They are def worth trying each one and see what it brings to the table. You can always copy the samples you like and use them in Ableton, Before you sell them.

No I'm not bucking system here bro, settle down with the accusing..... just being an artist.

If I bought the pack and used in my workflow.....whats the problem? It would be a huge pain to try to copy over ever single sound, group, project, so you still "have" the pack. If you save the group to your user and then uninstall the pack, I assume you'd lose those samples, Maybe not the effects but I could easily imagine it'd be super hard and a pain.....Not the mention illegal........I think its the hard part thats the kicker here thou.

Anyway for the record here I'm not doing that ****, as if anyone has the time. BUT I find hits I like all the time and use them.

accuse people much? jk settle down.....

Don't know about "best"... but my 5 favourites are:

    Halcyon Sky
    Lone Forest
    Prospect Haze
    Circuit Halo
    Lucid Mission

I do stuff from different genres so it's nice having the various emphasis these packs have.

As I've had them longer, I've used Grey Forge, Conant Gardens and Magnate Hustle more than the 5 I listed, but the top 5 capture my imagination more at the moment.

    I don't have a bottom 3.
