Re-Install Question

After a drive failure I had to reinstall everything on my system drive. Luckily, I kept lots of the NI libraries on a separate internal drive. Since I already have all the Elektrik Piano 1.0 and 1.5 libraries installed I'd like to just install the 1.5 plugin but the installer keeps asking me where my .nks files are and then saying 'that directory already exists - install anyway?'. Do I need to install 1.0 first and then 1.5?

Is there anyway to just install the plugin 'blank' and then just point it to where all the libraries are?

If anyone can shed some light I'd be most appreciative.

I'm not positive, but I think you do have to install 1.0 then go to 1.5.

Don't install the plug-in "blank" (I assume you mean just drag the plug-in to the right place) -- use the installer -- it performs a bunch of registration things in the background that are necessary for EP to work correctly.

 

My situation is similar but different. I am reinstalling, but since my last install I got Komplete 5. I am reinstalling most of the instruments off the Komplete 4 disks because the Komplete 5 installer is buggy but I am wondering if it's safe to install EP off the
Komplete 5 disk. It would be EP 1.5, right? And all the right sounds would install?
