Is this also for win users? I thought 1.0.0.030 was the newest version...? If so, maybe some admin should change the text...

the list of improvements looks good, but this prevents me from feeling comfortable:

I just hope 'subject to change' doesn't include crossing out announced improvements / bugfixes...

where can I apply for beta-testing? I used to work as a software-tester, so I'd be happy to help testing TS-updates...

    - 1.0.2.050 was a Mac only update. It was released to resolve some issues for Powerbook users.

    - No beta for jo0! ... I dunno where you apply...that's actually somewhat of a good question.

True! Thanks for pointing that out, I have changed the text.

The "subject to change" part is a standard disclaimer. We take care to only list improvements that are 99% sure to make it into the upcoming patch.

Send me a private message with your email address, and I will pass your request on to our QA team.

    Regards, Thomas

if the spontanous reverse playback bug has has allready been fixed, I simply do not understand, why NI does not release a bugfix like 1.0.3 asap, as this bug is REALLY critical.

let's hope it won't take NI too long to finish this.

I'd also like to now if NI is actually working on improved Audio8 drivers (software mixer).

    And no mp3-recording option :(

Makes no sense in my opinion: Playback of mp3 and recording in wav format :S

But anyways, I'm looking forward to this release... Hopefully we won't have to wait till christmas..

Maybe an mp3-encoding of good quality would need to much cpu, as both (recording and playback) both have to happen realtime. wave can just simply be written to disc without any encoding.

Actually I'm happy with the wave-recording, as I always do some mastering after recording. Therefore mp3 wouldnt be a recording option for me. but for those who dont want to master their recordings and have an enough powerful cpu: why not ;-)

I just still would like to see the spontanous reverse playback bug be patchted asap and not when the whole major update to 1.1 is finished. all the other listed bugs can be avoided by avoiding the actions known to make the errors happen. but the spontanous reverse playback seems only to be avoidable by not using traktor scratch, which isnt really an option.

    This update seems pretty cool!
I like the way they did clarify the roadmap.
    Big up for that.

I'm only disapointed because there's no word on a badly wanted feature : the cover view!

Im not even talking of a software mixer or the ability to route the phono ins if the MC cables are broken...Hope it will arrive on a 1.2 or 1.3...

This cover view would be really convenient for me (i integrated all the covers on my catalogue), im not waiting for a "cover flow" style like in itunes because it would eat up way too much ram, but when a trak is analysed it should make a little thumbnail with the stripe (because a good itunes cover is approximatly 300x300 px and the beatport thumbnail is around 30X30px, so when an itunes cover is read under WMP for example the thumbnail is almost illegible, so i think the soft has to make its own version of the cover just next to tack's stripe)...

BTW one last thing: if i avoid the fact that Beatport is f**** sleeping on everything that concerns Drum'n'Bass, there's an online shop that has been totally renewed...

    http://download.breakbeat.co.uk/

Its specialised in dnb, but im putting the link here because they have added some really interesting features:

    - every track you buy is downloadable 5 times, so it means that every purchased track stays in your account...
    - you can chose for every track you if u want it in WAV, FLAC, MP3 (192 - 320)...
    - you can buy well known djs mixes
    - the cover is integrated in the itunes format!
    - a featured label is REALLY a featured label...( in Beatport im still waiting for some track that have already 1 year with their "featured" label or artists...)
    - they REALLY try to add back catalogues.
    - the tags are ok, no bloody numbers, no "original mix" on every track, the REAL CATALOGUE NUMBER of the label on the "release" part...

So that's it, maybe time to react for the other online shops....

    Update For Traktor Scratch

I just bought Traktor Scratch recently and am happy with the software but not very happy about the bug. I dj'ed for a couple years in PR before I moved up here to NY so I decided to upgrade completely to digital, to stay in sync with the times. Im doing alot of first time gigs at clubs and lounges to try and get my rep and following up here in NYC, the other night I was dj'ing at a spot that has the potential to be a stepping stone to a reputable spot in the city when trakor started going in reverse for no reason.. it sounded like the devil possessed my computer and was spitting satanic lyrics in spanish... I quickly hit reverse on my turntable to rectify the issue, it did, until i scratched and the song decided to go the right way again.. so back to the satanic music again... needless to say, everyone was giving me the eye, and I was heated... I just turned off the channel that was going crazy and used the computer to dj the other side...Thats not good NI... If I knew that this program had that bug I would have held off from buying it, hell.. I might have even bought serato.... but I chose NI because there reputable.. I really hope they get this fixed.. its not a reliable program right now and its affecting my performances...So come on peoples, make this update an top priority.. Im waiting til september first and if the update isnt out im going to have to switch to something else...

    Chino i'm 100 % with you...
I'm having lot of troubles with these bugs and I'm start to think too to switch to something else...
The idea of the software is amazing and I'm sure is the best solution on the market right now,but guys from NI c'mon....be on the part of a dj in front of a crowd, even big or small, and the program crash...especially for people like me that uses macbook pro which is the system that got more bugs than others....meanwhile my collagues using serato are laughing at me :-(

Hope this upgrade coming VERY soon.

I cant believe the development cycles take so long with both TS and Traktor. I've lost track of how long i've been without vinyl control within Traktor 3.

This is not good N.I. take us users seriously please

    And another thing

I've called Technical support repeatedly and they told me that the problem was actually in my turntable, or the needle was dirty or something like that... My turntables are brand new, bought them Traktor Scratch. So I spent about 900 dollars on turntables to use exclusively with trakor scratch (which cost bout 600) and now im assed out because im afraid to use my stuff at a gig. When I talked to the Customer Service rep for Traktor Scratch.. think his name was Paris Minzer, he told me that he was unaware of the bug, and that he had to call Berlin to find out about the problem. There is definitely a big gap between the **** going on here in the states and whats going on in Berlin... he also said that alot more people were calling in about the problem, but there was nothing he could do for me.. Im not to sure... but isnt this grounds for a class action law suit? LOL! I mean come on, you've provided a faulty product to consumers, and youve done nothing to rectify the issue,(yeah you have an update? where is it? I have a gig Sunday and guess what im doing tonight, im burning my entire damn reggaeton/salsa/merengue library onto discs because im scared to use the Traktor Scratch. I got to use the shitty house system and hope for the best. BTW, the Paris guy was cool and everything, cant be mad at him, im just pissed at NI, so whats going on NI? Can you put out a recall and give me my money back? Or how bout you come out with that update like......NOW! (I'll keep my mouth shut and never bother you guys again as soon as that update comes out.)

lol i dont know why you guys buy TS over SSL in the first place.. it really makes no sense for an actual gigging dj. I had to sell my TFS crossgrade for $325 because no one trusts it. Dont get me wrong I think TS is ok, but for gigging djs there is already an industry standard.. for a very good reason.

The answer to that is simple because TS is a far better product even with bugs than SSL and when it is able to be used used with Traktor DJ Studio its in a totally different league.

Im sorry but that made no sense! Are you trying to suggest that you can use SSL with traktor software (because you cant) or that TS is better than SSL even with the bugs (which is debatable)?

Honestly this is almost as annoying as the virus TI update which although took best part of a year was in the end worth it. Let’s hope NI can deliver the same good as im not waiting any longer after September. I have faith though...

I've used Serato and the only thing that is better about it than TS is that it is more stable. To me Rane is a more mature company than NI. NI seems that they are more for a quick buck, thats why they released TS so quickly instead of doing more research, more thorough testing, and because of that many people are not taking them seriously. As I've stated in other threads I had a PowerBook with 2 gigs Memory and TS never worked right, kept hearing that it was because it was "a low spec computer", so I went and bought A new MacBook Pro 2.4GHz 4 Gigs Ram, and yet it still it crashes, now they say it's a "Known Bug" with certain Intels. So if it is a known bug why not do a fix on the "Known Bugs" that cause crashes only before fixing or adding anything else? DJs use this product professionally, in front of large crowds, we cant afford to go to the clubs where we are weekly residents and have it crash every week. This is supposed to be a professional product for professionals.
I keep reading more and more how people are not recommending it and leaving it for something else. If this next update doesn't fix these crashes I think I'll join them.

NI, learn from your users and the obvious:
THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT SHOULD BE STABILITY!

Whats up fellow dj's! Well I'm gonna put TS on hold till the update
for T3 comes out. In the mean time...I'm using FS2 hardware (ScratchAmp, timecode CDs & vinyls on TDJS3 and works great no lock-ups or freezes...latency checker displays low usage of firewire! Meanwhile my buddy is going with Numark's Virtual Vinyl...copy-cat of Virtual Dj (which is ok for beginner or slow learning Digital Dj). Now that I added MORE mem ram to my lappy I can go low as 1.5 latency with no clicks or pops except when surfing the net. Gonna try raising the sampling and the CPU rates to a maximum...wanna torture test
my system for hours or days...NONSTOP!

    Later's
    Keep on skratchin'
