OK so in have to completely wipe my laptop soon and re-set it.

What id like to know is:

When i copy all of my tracks back onto it (from an external HD that ill put them on while i re-set the lappy) and re-load Traktor, will i have to beatgrid them all again? (I'm thinking yes, please dont say yes though...cause i think i'll cry)

Also, how can i copy the playlists so that i can keep them once i re-load Traktor. Guessing they're kept on a file somewhere in the lappy's HD...?

I really dont want to have to lose everything. If anyone has done this some help/advice would be invaluable.

you won't have to re grid them, just copy your stripes and reload them after installation.also save your playlists and reload them too. You can find all those files in your native instruments folders

I have found the Stripes folder. I also found a Transients folder, does this need to be copied oevr as well as the Stripes folder? I cannot find the Playlists though.

Also there are a number of sub folders within each folder, do i only need the most recently Modified folder or the entire lot?

If I copy the 'Traktor Settings.tsi" will this copy over all my FX, Recording, Loading settings etc?

Should I just copy every single folder and file there and copy it over (probably the obvious choice....?)

Yep. All the files you mentioned you probably found somewhere under documents\traktor bla bla bla.

Just copy everything in that traktor folder over and you should be fine as long as all your audio files have the same path to them. c:\mytraktoraudiofiles\whatever.

Obviously you have copied all the audio files over to above folder.

If not you should be able to do a consistency check once you startup and re-locate your files.

Great point, thanks, I'll make sure they have the same file path so TP can find them. Obvious but easy to forget. Cheers!
