Reactivate K9U Installation

    Hello,

    So I have separate internal drives on my Desktop for different purposes. Each is dedicated to: OS, Program Files, Media, Games, Studio, etc. I usually have K9 installed on my studio SSD, however, I often have to reformat my machine. The biggest pain is trying tor reactivate the K9U installation. I don't know how to do it without going through the whole lengthy K9U installation wizard. Is there a way to reactivate my K9U installation without having to re-install? All my other plug-in brands and software usually just have my re-input the serial key.

    One way would be to keep or move the libraries to an external HDD. Then after reformatting the drive only install the applications and plugins (without the libraries) of K9U. Then run the standalone applications and link the library/database-paths (in the application preferences) to the existing libraries on your external HDD.

    Another possible way might be to clone or make a backup image of your hard drive with a fresh Komplete installation and use this for restoring your hard drive.
