Anyone using/familiar with this configuration?? Running OS 9.2.1 on a G3 Powerbook with the latest version of Reaktor (3.0), Logic (5.5 - I tested 5.1 too), and a RME Hammerfall DSP audio card - also with the latest version of their drivers available (First installed drivers from 7/2002 CD, then drivers from site). I was originally using Logic 4.7 and never had any problems - but after installing Logic 5.0.1 on a completely initialized drive and updating to 5.5.0 I had no luck getting audio from the card, just Mac AV. It was late when I was working so I started again this morning - going back on every step and discovered that I hadn't placed the 'Hammerfall DSP Driver' in the system folder like their instructions state to do. Here's where it gets 'mes'sed up - the file 'Hammerfall DSP Driver' is a system extension, so it should be in the extensions folder, which it already was (I guess I got up too early too). But for some odd reason when I placed that same file outside of the extensions folder, just in the System Folder, Logic worked. Why??? I have no idea... So, I shut down Logic and tried Reaktor. Once again in Mac AV everything worked great, but when I changed the drivers from Sound Manager to Hammerfall's and clicked OK, the screen froze and the mac crashed. At this point I'm guessing it's the drivers for the RME since both programs work fine in Mac AV, but I can't figure out why Logic worked and Reaktor didn't. After the first attempt of changing the drivers in Reaktor's, I haven't been able to get Logic to output through the RME. Very strange?? Or simple?? Any help, would be MUCH appreciated. Mes
