    CHANGES:

Recalling a snapshot or Default did not update the signal connections.

Morph-To-Snap (Alt + Click in snap list) was incomplete.

Update of snapshot selection for Select A/B was incomplete.

The CPU load of the DXi plugin was significantly higher because all 16 inputs were active. Now an input channel is only active when the referring output of the Audio In module is connected.

Audio Units plugin was not compatible with earlier versions.

OS9 file types were not set correctly - no icons were shown.

    - - -

    Enjoy!

i just can't believe that motu put reactor on their blacklist plug in, and on top of it, they don't even seem to work on that right now,

Who doesn't seem to work on it? Reaktor has been on DP's blacklist for quite sometime now, and now its up to MOTU to remove it.

the installer asks if it can update some ensembles and instruments. does anyone know what it's updating? judging by dates modified, it looks like it may have touched the analog filter box.ens, but everything else seems like the "templates". all the _New... instruments & macros.

I'm sure they get that a lot now, and perhaps are just copying and pasting in responses at this point. ;-) I'm sure MOTU is working on it, but relatively speaking they're a small company, so I wouldn't expect it to be all fixed tomorrow (although you never know).

Yes it does. This was a nasty bug that we somehow managed to create for ourselves, so we had to fix it quickly - hence the sudden 4.1.1 update, only 1 week after 4.1.

Note that this update *only* addresses the specific issues that John has already summarised (those that were considered urgent and critical). There are a few other small bugs and issues in 4.1 that we are aware of and want to fix, so please know that this isnt neccesarily the final version of Reaktor 4. A further 'round up' update to 4.1.x is likely sometime in the future.

4.1.1 does NOT fix switch issue for my G5

I am running pro tools 6.2.3 on dual 2.0 g5, running panther 10.3.2

I installed the 4.1.1 update. restarted. i opened the standalone, check the version, it says 4.1.1.001

When I use reaktor plug-in in pro tools, load up carbon ensemble, play the first default preset, all sounds normal. Any other preset I switch to, only changes the knobs, all other buttons and controls remain on the first preset's settings, making all the other sounds distort.

What gives? Everyone else seems to say the new update is fixing the issue. Is mine a different issue from the "switching" issue?

    thanks,
    christian

    load audio sample preview

Add that audio preview in the load sample window and that would bring R4.1 a bit up to perfection in my book..This is a feature that really any sample program should have!!
Other than that, I'm very pleased..Great job!

Besides the outstanding oddness of CPU readings and sluggish graphics, *****SAMPLE PREVIEW***** would make many many Reaktor users giddy with delight.

It is a fundamental feature that is the first step towards a number of enhancements that could be made to the sample map editor.

It is very frustrating that it is still being omitted, ever since it was removed, as it makes workflow a pain in the *.

Is there any hope for it being returned in the near future? (please please)

    ***********************************
And a BIG thanks for the 4.1.1 fix.

JWH has commented on the sample preview thing in one of the 4.1 threads.

Yeah, I'd read what he had posted -

    _______

    Sample Preview (JWH):

"Ultimately it was a matter of prioritisation ... everybody has their own different list of priorities ... sample preview will get there eventually..."
    _______

So basically it is low on the developer's priority list :(

Users have been asking for this since at least since version 3 was released (that is early 2002) ... maybe earlier, but I can only search the forum back that far. So from a user (aka Customer) point of view it would not seem to be low priority.

I would humbly suggest this is a top issue for almost all users who use .wavs in Reaktor (not a minority)

    THANKS

Does this mean that you are aware of the CPU spikes the VST plugins causes in Steinbergs sequencers?

Re: 4.1.1 does NOT fix switch issue for my G5

I guess we could have the same problem then, mine maybe related to a 4.03 ensemble saved in the 4.1.0 version for the PC. In 4.1.001 the same problem arise after selecting my default in the snapshot.

Could this be because the patch is saved in 4.1.0?

I am considering rebuilding the ensemble from scratch...

I too thought that the 4.1.1 update had not fixed the problem as my Reorder ensemble was not recalling snapshots properly. However, I did two things, one or both of which fixed it:

    1) Delete the switch and create a new, identical one (but don't cut and paste, just fill out the details again.

    2) Overwrite the existing snapshot with the exact same snapshot

Hope one of those works for you.
