    Hi All,

I produce my own music on a Linux Platform using AV Linux - but just recently got really back into using Reaktor on a Windows platform on a second PC to use as a standalone instrument into the Linux DAW. A great set up.

I re-installed my old Reaktor 3 with dongle then upgraded to Reaktor 4.

My problem is this - I want to take advantage of the User library ensembles but can seem to find much which will load on Reaktor 4 - most seem to be configured for Reaktor 5 - at this stage I cant justify upgrading to 5 just yet.

Where can I find ens which will work in my Reaktor 4 ? - or where can I buy the old Reaktor 4 library - which will keep me very happy for many months ( or maybe years )

For example I wanted to try 3X from the library but can get any version of it to run in R4.

I'm a guitar player - so Reaktor is a great tool to have alongside for my recordings.

    Any advice most welcome

    cheers
    Rufus

Did you update R4 to the last version (4.1.3)?

    Hi again ew

    yes - 4.1.3

I just had success with one of the 3X versions ( the second one ) ! Thats great.

So, how do I get hold of the old Reaktor 4 Library ? - looks like some great ens in the manual.

Is there a quick way to tell which User library ens will work with R4 - or just trial and error ?

    cheers

The R4 library should be part of the installation, I think (?).

If you click on the Upload Date column on the table listing UL ensembles, it will sort the ensembles by date in reverse order.

    great - many thanks all,

one last problem - The R4 standard library doesnt install as part of the upgrade from R3. I think it was originally available as a purchase CD - but is no longer available, and the old links now just point to a generic NI products page.

How can I lay my hands on things like Carbon, Blue Matrix, Memory Drum etc ?

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there are loads more (the Premium library) zipped up. Are these the ones you're looking for?

Nope. Those were part of the full installer- the free update installer was just that; an update installer.
