I just downloaded the R4 demo for os X. When I play it the note sill sound via MIDI (from MOTU MIDI express XT) but they will not turn off. For the MIDI setup I chose midi express XT port 1 as the input. Am I missing something?

Is this an ensemble you made? Perhaps the note off isn't getting to where it should?

    What controller are you using?

I was just trying to use the on of the preset ensemlbles, I also had the same problem when using it as an AU plug in DP 4.1.

I am playing with an Alesis QS 8 and through a MOTU midi express XT.

Funny, I'm getting this problem with the full version of R4. With any ensemble I get stuck notes if I play more than one at a time.

I was thinking that this was maybe a 'feature' of Reaktor, if so it's a pretty annoying one.

But surely it can't be? I mean other people use this live don't they?

Well, my system is a Mac Powerbook G4 550, with 768 MB, and 10.2.6. I'm using the Novation ReMOTE 25 via USB (drivers released today folks!). So 'maybe' it's the Remote, but I used to get this problem also when playing from the computer keyboard.

    Any ideas or confirmation reports?

Actually, I'm running the Reaktor demo and what I'm noticing is even odder - it seems that it is interpreting any NOTE_OFF event as a NOTE_ON event of the last key that was pressed.

So, if I press A I the envelope triggers for that note, and then hit a B, I hear an eneverlope trigger for a B note. but if I then lift key A, note B triggers again. Even more maddening, no notes are actually stopped; it seems as if the NOTE_OFF is misread. This makes any synth ensemble completely useless.

Needless to say, unless someone can GUARANTEE to me that the full version does not exhibit this behavior, I will not be buying.

My system is a udal 867MHZ G4, running MacOS X 10.2.6, with a MOTU Fastlane USB MIDI interface and a MOTU 828 Firewire I/O. Latest driver versions for both.
