I think you guys are going to be pretty excited. It's not quite Reaktor 6, but still very impressive, especially the new synth and plugin handling. I'm really more psyched to see what everyone comes up with using the new spectral/additive/physical modeling modules.

Are these completely new modules or based on previous Reaktor modules? I see there are some new modules in update list.

    First screenshots in attachments.

First sight impression - really nice new GUI, can be separated into several windows, some new modules, some additional options and settings, no Lock/Unlock button on panel, that's why I still didn't figure out how to move modules on panel (anyone know how), can't open documentation from Reaktor, it says "The documentation file is missing".

There are two completely new modules 'sine bank' for additive and 'modal bank' for physical modelling.

Mike Daliot's LazerBass which is based on the sine bank is a work of art.

The Lock/Unlock is now on the vertical divider below the panel splitting controls.

You should report the documentation issue in the beta bug tracker.

    Cordially yours.

I'll be glad to proofread the documentation, if that would be useful. Is it in shape for that yet?

Thanks for your offer! Proofreading the whole documentation would take a considerable amount of time, I'm not sure if you really would want to spend that. ;) Anyway, I am excited to hear how you like the rewritten manual.

I will look into the matter of the broken link to the documentation. Aleksandr Smirnov, are you on Mac OS X or Windows?

    Best,
    Christoph

    Windows.

BTW, I'm going to test new Reaktor on Mac soon as well. Would like to see its behaviour on i7. Preparing bug report + future improvements list.

Are you planning translating manual to Russian?

Beta seems very robust to me, has handled everything I've thrown at it all afternoon without a crash, am pleasantly surprised. I even quite like the new GUI, seems to fit well with the NI dark colour scheme and goes well with the rest of the range. The electronic instruments extras were a nice touch as well by the way :)

    Thank you very much, NI-team.

Great changes and new features. (from what i read. Now going to test...)

-Lovely manuals and more to come

    ----------
-All ensembles from Electronic Instruments I + II now included

..look at that. That's a big step, too.
Just think of all the modifications, that will hopefully reach the UL. *shiver*
    ----------

    Thanks again. *jumping around*

Hey everyone, let's use this thread for the "general discussion" and not for individual bug reports. Please spin these into separate threads so that this one here stays focussed. I am moving some of the posts into separate topics right now.

I noticed that I have a significant increase in cpu usage displayed with some of my custom ensembles. Where 5.1.5 it would have been around 16-18% it is now above 26% in 5.5.

also having to use the panel sliders to move around the widows is a very annoying and breaks the workflow. It would be better if I could just grab an open area of the background and drag with the mouse.

changing the indicator color is great, but it also changes the color of the buttons and switches this fustrating.
