Reaktor 5.7 and Kore 2

Ok i have just installed komplete 8 ultimate and updated everything on my iMac (which i hadn't installed the 5.7 update on yet so wasn't affected by this problem.

now everything is working fine and i am able to open both the new presets and my old ksd files on all engines (or at least so far so good)

i have not bypassed the ie's or copied the vst's or batch converted anything so i am now confused as to what the problem was in the first place or has this been resolved i another update.

i am able to ope my old ksd's in the new vst's inside the synths from the kore browser directly.

really happy but really confused as well.

unless i just haven't opened the right presets yet, anyone else resolved this without doing either workaround ?

 

Try anything from Bank 2-OSC...?

Do presets load? Load in Reaktor 5.6.2? Or 5.7?

 

just opened up arpeggiated 3 clone from compilation 1 (best of reaktor)

it opens up in 5.6.2 without any bypassing or changing vst in i.e. folder.

and i have double checked, when opening standard new reaktor patches inside machine they are definitely opening in 5.7

so the question is should i bypass the engines or not as it is working for me without doing so ?

 

Hey! I have a big question i've been looking every to get the answer..

I don't want to buy Maschine or Maschine Mikro, I just want the sounds in it and the expansion packs that come with it like "Platinum Bounce" &"True School" and more. Can I buy the Expansion packs and install them use them like Komplete 8? Or do I need to buy Maschine or Maschine Mikro to use those sounds?

 

this warning seems like it should have come with the reaktor update saying WARNING all your kore2 patches that we sold you for hundreds and hundreds of dollars, that use reaktor, will not work! upgrade reaktor at your own risk.

 

I think the only work-around would be to uncheck the bypass option in Kore.

Then, assuming you have the older Reaktor .dll inside the Kore internal plug-ins location, it will work. If you don't have an older Reaktor .dll, then maybe search around or ask friends. I believe the bottom line is that it will work of you have a older Reaktor .dll in that location and keep the bypass option unchecked.

It's a pain yes, but to keep Kore on life support for a few more years I don't see any other option.

 

Mine are all still working, even with Reaktor 5.8. Just uncheck the "new version" tickbox and stick the 5.8 VST versions in your engines folder (over writing the old ones - but be sensible and back them up first). All my Reaktor Koresounds open in the 5.8. version after doing that.

 

well I did it but it looks like at least 2 of the reaktor .ens dont work inside kore and about 10-15 presets of each .ens need to be resaved and tagged in kore.
