Reaktor 5 player can't open Monark

    Hello,
    As anticipated in the title my Reaktor 5 Player (v.5.9.4, latest since i get no updates in Native Access) can't open Monark (v. 1.3.1) in standalone operation and running it through Cubase as VST from its .dll.
    The error message that appear says:
    "Error while reading file [...](folder path here) Monark.ens. This file was saved with a newer version of Reaktor! Please Update your software!"

    I also have Reaktor 6 and it works fine with Monark, but the issue comes with a lot of Cubase unfinished projects where Monark was loaded with Reaktor 5 player.

    Maybe the problem started after Monark latest Update, so it would be nice to receive by NI support a downgrade setup and give it a try.

    If you have a copy of your Monark before the last update - use it.
    Monark is since 1.3.1 an R6 ens.

    Unfortunately I don't have a backup copy ok an older version of Monark.
    It would be nice if NI support or someone else could send me one:)

    Hm, it's a commercial product and we users have no permissions by NI to copy it.
    Can't you downgrade Monark? dl the pre version? Ask NI please - open a ticket at Support.

    I tried to contact directly NI support but the only way to do it is a livechat only available in working days, I will try tomorrow

    Oh yes. I just jump in this pages. It's terrible if you've an issue that never shows on their sites.
    The answer of NI can be: The R5 player is old and not actual. So you can dl the R6 player?
    But this don't help you in daw projects saved with R5 player.

    The REINSTALL button can't go to the prevision version.

    Yes, reinstall won't downgrade.
    I hope to solve it since I once downgraded Maschine software with the help of forums and NI support for the 32bit daw compatible version.

    Anyway, because of these issues I'm migrating erything I have to a newer 64 bit daw :)

    This is dirty fix, but it might help. Cubase checks for the dll with the same name.

    1. If you have the player v5 installed, save the name of the dll, which Cubase tries to open.
    2. Install Player v6.
    3. Rename the old .dll (R5) into something like .bak to be able to revert.
    4. Copy the new .dll (R6) into the exact same name/location as the old one.
    Cubase should now also load R6 player with projects stored with R5. This should also work for the full version.

    Edit: I'm not sure, if the latest player-version is 64bit compatible.

    Thanks for the suggestion, I tried this method but Reaktor 6 is opening monark with no preset, so it has the init. blank sound and not the one I created in the project. Sometimes it crashes too

    Monark downgrade worked perfectly!:)

    For the future: Make a copy to cd or dvd of every ens or program you order via dl.
    There some other user then you. Please give a link to them. TIA

    I'm migrating everything, so a full backup is in program.
    Live chat support is working really well and fast during the time of is on
