1. We're currently conducting systematic tests with the release version of macOS 11 (Big Sur) in order to offer full compatibility of our products as soon as possible. You can find our latest compatibility status - here

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. At the moment, Native Instruments products are not supported on computers with Apple Silicon processors. Read more - here

    Hi REAKTOR community,

As announced in this thread, today we have released REAKTOR 6.4, introducing User Blocks in Racks. You can find detailed information about the new functionality in section 10 of the updated REAKTOR Blocks Manual. This video tutorial shows you how to install User Blocks for use in Racks.

Here is the condensed feature set:
    • Users of the full version of REAKTOR 6 can load User Blocks into Racks.
    • Users of REAKTOR 6 Player can load User Blocks into Racks, however User Blocks will run in Demo mode and be muted after 30 minutes.
    • User Blocks are stored in the Rack file with a reference to their file path. Missing User Blocks are displayed when loading a Rack and can be relocated.
    • The User Block directory enables sharing of Racks between users. User Blocks located in the same relative path within the User Blocks directory are automatically detected when loading a Rack.
    • User Blocks located in the User Block directory are accessible directly in the Library tab of the REAKTOR Browser, and can be found using the search box in a Rack.
    • The location of the User Blocks directory can be changed in the Preferences.
In addition to the new functionality, the release is accompanied by new and updated content:

Important notes about front panel patching, port visibility and A/B Panel views:

We are currently working on additional tutorials about how to update a User Block for front panel patching. For now, please note the following:
    • The In and Out Ports of Blocks need to be visible in Panel View B to make front panel patching possible. Check the Blocks - Building Template or any of the official Blocks by Native Instruments for reference.
    • Even if a Block does not fulfill this requirement, it can still be loaded into a Rack. However, you can only connect it in the Structure view.
    • Adding Panel Ports to Blocks can be done with basic building experience in REAKTOR. The Blocks - Building Template contains examples as a starting point. Check the included Blocks Framework Manual for details.
    • The REAKTOR User Library has a new category Blocks (Rack-Ready) for Blocks that have been updated with Panel Ports for Racks. The original Blocks category has been renamed to Blocks (Legacy). The category will be available in the filter and form in a few days.

We are happy to address a major request from the community and are looking forward to exciting times for the REAKTOR User Library. We want to thank all builders in advance who are going to upload Rack-ready versions of their Blocks!

strangely if you click on the bold blocks you get only the rack ready blocks...

EDIT but legacy blocks is (or blocks (legacy)) is in my case now 0...

o by the way the jam sequencer, i thought first of the jam controller, but it is really for the jam controller. strange, it isn't available anymore. but positive, that i extend the use of the jam controller i have.

now a full blown MPE user block (rack-ready), the MPE block in toybox audio seems only monophonic, have to try it. too busy with too many stuff. in the end i can focus again on reaktor.

I did mention this shortly in the original posting, see above:
"The category will be available in the filter and form in a few days."
Why the delay? No specific reason, just some trouble with the web backend we use.

This problem that the Rack-ready filter is not there should get fixed soon, see my other post in this thread.
