I know this is not an officially supported feature as of yet, but I have seen tons of reports of people being able to save Reaktor ensembles using Reaktor 6 onto their Maschine+'s. I followed all of the instructions I can find from this forum and over on the on the Elektronauts thread and I'm still having no luck.

Specifically, I can see the presets show up in the Browser in the User section, but they never make sound, even ones I know other people have had success with (my test case was Steam Pipe 2). However, when I download any of the M+ compatible ensembles that other people have made, they open and DO produce sound just fine on my M+. So, I know my Maschine+ can play them. I just can't figure out how to save and make the M+ compatible ensembles myself.

    Here are my operating specs:

    Laptop:
    MBP M1 Pro
    OSX 12.0.1
    Maschine 2.14.7 (R1)
    Reaktor 6.4.3 (R0)
*Native Access says everything is up to date

    M+:
    System version 1.3.2.3
    Maschine Version: 2.14.4 (R891)
    Firmware: 0.1.9
    Reaktor 6 Application 6.4.3
*Library and System settings pages say everything is up to date

**I even tried saving ensembles from my Windows 10 computer, no dice

    Any suggestions/ideas?

(alternately, if someone wants to make an M+ compatible version of Akkord from the factory library and send that over, that alone will tide me over until NI offers better support, haha)

    Thanks!

Interested in this as well. I know people are successfully using some ens with their M+ but the details on the specifics are a bit vague IMO. What I do know is that your Reaktor version should be the same both on your desktop as well as in M+ standalone. and that you need to do some prep work in Reaktor for the ens to load properly in Maschine, such as compressing IDs and whatnot, but I'd really appreciate an in depth explanation of all the processes involved. I don't just mean a bullet pointed list but also some background explanation for all the necessary stages so that this knowledge can be internalized properly. Heck, I'd even pay cash for someone's Patreon for a comprehensive tutorial, in either video or written form.

Try the last quarter or so if that narrows it down (working from memory).

Just finished reading the thread, what a chore... Got a nostalgic feeling from reading nauts (left the board some time ago), so thanks for that!

There wasn't anything more specific than what has already been posted elsewhere.. But there was a superb link to a massive collection of pre-baked Reaktor ensembles for M+ standalone, just copy these to your SD card:

Yeah, as I mentioned in my OP, I've already read the Elektronauts thread. Been reading it since it they first announced M+. Ha.

Other than the suggestion to make sure the version of Reaktor on your computer matches the version on M+, which it does for me, all the other instructions only relate to having embedded presets marked with the correct meta info. And all that works for me, I can see the presets and parameters just fine on my M+.

The issue is the ensembles that I save myself don't produce sound when opened on the M+. There's some step that's missing about how to make sure the output of the ensemble is accessible to M+. That's the part I can't figure out. I've checked very parameter that might relate. I've tried saving the ensembles on both a mac and a PC, no dice. No of the instructions I've found solve this problem.

And as I mentioned, I've downloaded and opened a bunch of those ensembles from mega.nz and they work on my M+. So I know it's possible. But I would like to be able to save my own ensembles like others have for a variety of reasons.

One thing I can suggest is taking a look at one of the working ens files on your computer, open it up in edit mode, try to find anything that has been done differently to what you would yourself have done. Take something from the existing Reaktor Library so you'll also know how the mega uploaded ens differs from the original ens file that comes with a fresh Reaktor install (since you will then have both versions of the ens).

I did that before and then I did it again this morning and I can find no difference between the Library version and the Mega version. Everything in Properties and Presets are identical. I've checked every other settings window and it's all identical. That's why I think it's something about the versions. It's making me crazy. Haha.
