Reaktor demo crashes tracktion

I'm considering buying Reaktor, but the current demo (april 22nd 04) crashes tracktion.

Heres a screen grab of the error message i'm getting (do far i've only tried the FX vst)

Anyone know why this is happening, or had similar problems with the full version?

 

i run reaktor with tracktion without problems. Both full versions
osX, pbg4

 

thanks. i'm running it on winXP. anyone else with this set up? any problems?

 

(i perhaps should also mention that the crashes have always happened when i've been turning a knob).

 

no problems so far with full versions of both reaktor and tracktion under XP.

thanks for the confirmation. then i hope the problem is limited to the Reaktor demo.

 

another confirmation - the current version of reaktor (4.1.2 - both reaktor4 synth vst and reaktor4 FX vst) works fine with the version of tracktion i'm using (1.5.1.3 - built 23mar04) in xp sp1.

 

Are you Tracktion/R4/XP people able to load all the ensembles you download, modify, and/or create yourselves?

Every time I try to load a ensemble from the user library or one I've modified and saved in stand-alone mode, I get an error asking me to "please get a software update" (this also happens in Live). But I have the lastest Tracktion, Reaktor, and Live.

Someone suggested that it might be due to an oudated Reaktor VST.dll. When I updated to Reaktor 4.1.2, it installed version 4.0.2 of RektorVST.dll and ReaktorVSTFx.dll.

What file version of the RektorVST.dll and VSTFx.dll do others have?

To the thread starter - Reaktor works just fine for me in Tracktion as long as I use ensembles from the included library.

 

no, no problems with own ensembles.
VST is 4.1.2.001.
look in your "Reaktor4/VST" folder; the latest versions should be there; maybe you have to copy these into your main VST folder.
have a look at the paths tracktion uses - in "settings - plugins" and make a rescan of the plugin directories.

if all this does not help, run the 4.12 updater again, select only "Reaktor 4 VST Plugin". there you can select the folder where the VST is installed.
