Reaktor Factory Library instruments missing in Komplete Kontrol

Hello!

About a month Ago, I purchased Komplete 13, my first NI software product. Freshly installed, I'm currently going through presets inside Komplete Kontrol software, to build a favorite list. Today, I was going through Reaktor factory library, I noticed that a lot of the Reaktor instruments are missing in the Komplete Kontrol software preset browser (under the "all instruments tab").

Just to name a few examples: All the reaktor factory "grooveboxes" are missing, except "newscool" which is present. Also, some "synthesizers" are missing, ex: "Carbon" is missing, but "carbon 2" is showing; "Steampipe" is missing but "steampipe2" is present; "carbon", "sum synth", "titan" are missing. All the rest ("2 OSC", "Junatik", etc..) are present. Under "samplers", 2 synths are showing, two are missing. If required, I can post a complete list. All these ensembles (missing or present) are on an external drive at the same location.

I'm able to open the missing synths under "files' tab and pointing to the hard drive library location. I can open the synth and select presets inside the synth. But going back to the "library" tab, I can't select the synth under "all instruments / Reaktor 6 factory", therefore I can't scroll down the presets from there and star-tag favorites.

I opened the preferences, and library tab, confirmed that the "reaktor factory library" path is present, I did a re-scan 2 times, no luck.

Running under Mac OS Catalina.

Any help would be very appreciated!!!

You have to look for a zip file: Legacy Library
On pc the others are in public documents
:\Users\Public\Documents\Reaktor Factory Library

 

Hello Paule, I verified what you mentioned but couldn't find any zip file. The synths files are all present in the NI folders. It's just that the synths don't show all in KK. Thanks, Phil

 

I'm no owner of KK. You can ask at KK forum what's the reason you can't see - but ..

Yes I can see Reaktor un KK, but presets (snapshots) are missing under the library. I'll try to contact support.

Reaktor ensembles need some edits to integrate them fully into Komplete Kontrol - see here:

It looks like most of the ensembles that shipped with Reaktor 5 were edited to do that but I guess the legacy ones are provided 'as is'. However making a few simple changes like setting meta info for snapshots to 'Instrument' or 'Effect" should be enough to make them importable (into the user library) although to really integrate them I suggest also looking at automation params so they are controllable too.

I checked the KK missing instruments inside Reaktor, they are all tagged as "instr" in edit mode so there was nothing to change. I'll read further but I'm really new to NI products so it's a bit of a learning curve right now. I opened a ticket to NI I'll see what they say about it and will post back. Thanks, Phil

 

In that case it may be just about pointing KK to the right folder to scan them into the database - although I do suspect many will need some automation param tweaks
