Reaktor gone silent

Sorry if this is a) a repetition or b) plain daft:

I have been using Reaktor without major dramas for years on Windows, but I haven't been able to get a sound out of it for some time, and I think it coincided with upgrading to v.5.6.2 (R11367).

It's part of a Komplete install, though I had Reaktor long before Komplete.

It's running on a dedicated laptop running XP. Everything else in Komplete works fine. It's just Reaktor.

I can see MIDI going in ... just no sound.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

One of the usual suspects under these circumstances is that you are loading instruments rather than ensembles.

Other than that, I would make sure all your audio I/O is routed correctly & that your MIDI controller is transmitting on the correct channel.

 

Err ... yes ... well ... I had a fair suspicion the answer lay at the remedial end of the spectrum.

(... now maybe I should read the manual updates properly ...)

Sorry ... I was using Instruments instead of Ensembles.
