I bought komplete 5 this summer and now am i trying to get into reaktor. My first problem is that i dont get reaktor to output midi inside protools le (8.0.1). i dont get reaktor as an option among the internal midiport (like toontrack ezplayer). I searched this forum and thought i found the answear in the instrument options page, but no.
If any could help that would be great.

For outputting Midi from Reaktor, you need to do it in the panel I/O in Reaktor.
For seeing Reaktor in ProTools, check your Instrument view at the top of the mix window.

And take a look here… (type protools in the search field)

so have you successfully outputed MIDI from Reaktor to another RTAS Plugin in Pro Tools?

if you have, some details would help ;)

btw, i couldn't find anything on Knowledge Base that helped, maybe i missed something? could you be more specific with an example :)

I was sure to have done it doing what is on the picture but I can't reproduce it

Maybe, I did it in Live and I mixed up

I'm going to give it a try again…

    Ok, I've found the workaround…

You have to use the IAC busses.

Launch Reaktor in standalone mode, enable external sync and choose the IAC bus in the properties.
In Protools, check that the IAC busses are enabled or create some (look at Midi studio set up) and check that Protools sends Midi beat clock to IAC busses.

But it's simpler to do it in Live :(

    Hope this helps
