I have used literally hundreds of software synths. I keep coming back to Reaktor, because to my ears, it has a clarity, punch, and overall fidelity that is unmatched. Does anyone else notice this, and does anyone have a theory as to why Reaktor's sonic quality is so extreme? Thx! - c.

Depends on what you use in Reaktor. Old primary modules don't really have that kind of quality as it's pretty basic DSP behind them... New ensembles... mostly because they run at 96k internally, I suppose.

Hmm, Oatmeal by fuzzpilz and Crystal by Green Oak sound very clear. Both for free and quiet old.

I'm an utter newb at Reaktor design, altho I've lots of experience programming. So you say that the sample rate at which processing is done within a module is customized by the programmer? Hmm! Please, more info such as this. Thx alot.
PS. The older ensembles that process at a lower rate, is this easily identified in the makeup of said ensemble?

Oversampling can be done by the user by changing the sampling rate at the top right of the main Reaktor gui.
This isn't ideal though because everything gets over-sampled, when usually on a few low level sections really need it.
It's possible to oversampling sections of a structure, but this must be done explicitly by the builder. Upsampling interpolator followed by parallel code sections, one per oversample degree, ensuring that any state is shared appropriately between the sections, then finally, a downsampling filter. .. it's an advanced technique.

EDIT: here's a link to a post with an example to download.
