TP2 has a record function yes.
Yes you can use several devices within the software.
No as long as one of your controller has a soundcard you don't need another one.
Will you need to map everything? Not necessarily, there are several tsi available around the net. But you may have to map your units if you want more specific functions. It will depend on what you want to do really.

wow, dude you ask some really silly questions, please accept -yul- s cup of google it yourself and do a bit of reading.

.tsi (traktor settings infomation) *i think*

    mixtrack pro soundcard? yes

.tsi files are located on controller manufacturer websites. probably on here too.

laptops for 2-300 ebay....i have a nice dell inspiron for sale and a toshiba l450d. ill sell you the dell for 200 or the toshiba for 250

dell, vista home basic, 2gig ram, 2.6ghz cpu, 512 graphics, 240gb hdd runs ssweet as a nut, set back to factory settings and fully tweaked ready for dj work.

toshiba, 7 home premium, 2 gig ram, dual core 2.2ghz upgraded cpu, hdmi, 240gb hdd. 512 graphics. back to factory settings, fully tweaked and ready to work.

these come with no dj software installations. unless they are of free liscence.

To you there stupid,to me there important,iv bought myself a laptop now so does that mean that i can record with the mixtrack pro and i will not have to buy the traktor pro software just to record?

and does traktor pro even have more effects then the usual traktor?

hiya, erm as far as im aware you can record your performance with the softwares built in recorder. i know this is possible on VDJ so it should be possible on traktor LE/ME.

there is a record button on the menu bar at the top of the software window. just hait that. there is a chance you may have to setup your recording prefereces in traktors settings first. but hit the button first and see if it recodrs. if it does then leave it as is or you can change the recording filepath.

Search Function is your friend and will answer all your questions. You just have to do a modicum of leg work.

+1 but hey, some newbies reffer to just ask than read tons of postings.

to be fair, when i was a newbie i preffered to ask questions than sitting reading for 5 hours to find out most of the posts were irrelevent.

i think its easier to answer the newbie questions and get the guys up and running. once that bits done, they begin to learn and want to know more so they start researching. i dont thing theres one single person here who can say they covered all the theory before they started.lol.

Traktors ability to combine effects into chains will give you more then enough room for new original and interesting effects.

I wonder, though ... why don't you *simply* download the demo and try it for yourself ? I mean ... that would answer all your questions about traktor at least.

on the same token johnny boy, physicall learning is a far more fun way to learn things. after all you can ask as many questions as you want but without practice its not going to sink in.
