Reason 4 or Kontakt 3?

I know, I know -- they're different and Kontakt 3 looks amazing. But with my current setup, I've been struggling to dive right in -- Reaktor is great, but not straightfoward enough for that, and I'm kind of lacking in the piano/bass/drums-type libraries I need to just jump in with.

So, do I buy Reason, which I've used before and which has a whole lot of instruments you can just pull up right away? Or do I get Kontakt, which I've never used, requires me to buy a new HD, but has an awesome library?

 

I would not buy Reason for the sounds, I would however but it for the workflow. It's a intutive easy to use, and fast sequencer with many awesome features.

The new synth is great, but Reason vs Kontakt, kontakt wins hands down.

However, I prefere using Reason as a ReWire instrument. I hook it up to what ever hosting application I find that supports ReWire and VST, then use my NI software with Reason through ReWire.

Why don't you download the DEMO and try it out first?
