I'm experiencing some weirdness with the "Receive" terminal module. Using 5.1.2. Haven't done any building in a few months and maybe I'm just blanking on something basic.

I was trying to edit one of my own synths. Whenever I try to insert a "Receive" module, it insists on being only an audio connection, not an event connection. Duplicating existing "receive" modules with red dots doesn't work -- they duplicate as black dotted terminals. Naturally, the black dotted receive terminal doesn't want to be wired into any event inputs.

I did plenty of expermenting and have confirmed that, in any new instrument file I start building up from scratch, "receive" terminals are created with the expected green dot. In all of the other user and library ensembles I tried, "receive" terminals are created with the usual green dot, too.

Now the weird part. I had kept a bunch of drafts of my synth. In older versions, "receive" is created green. Then, suddenly, in later versions "receive" insists on being an audio module.

What can be going on in an instrument to make a normally audio/event module refuse to exist as an event module? (Incidentally, "send" terminals are still being created normal, coming out green. And all of the EXISTING receive terminals are working as set, either audio or event. I just create any new event receive terminals.)

Open the properties of the receive module, go to the far left tab, make sure the "Use" column is unchecked for any sends that are transmitting audio signals.

The reason is that the receive module allows the user to choose the send on the panel so if there are audio sources available, it has to assume the output will be audio, in case the user selects one.
