Hi everyone, maybe one of you could help

I'm trying to record something, anything, through an input channel of my audio 8DJ sound card (channel C , if it matters). The problem I'm getting is that the recording is "slowed down" or so. Every "real time" second is translated into (give or take) half a second in the recording software, resulting a corrupted recording, as expected. At the beginning I thought it was the recording software (Audacity 1.2), but after getting the same result with other recording software, I figured the problem is elsewhere. At the end, I set the internal sound card input jack as the input for recording, tried again, and the recording went smoothly as it should. Once I switched the record input back into one of the audio 8 input's, the problem returned.

This happens even in the Audacity is the only opened sound related program (though the final goal is to record a TS output from the same computer), so as far as I can tell, this isn't a problem with any other program.

I'm using a Lenovo T500 with 3GB ram, Windows XP SP3 with the latest (3.0) sound card driver. I'll appreciate any help.
    Thanks

44100, tough I tried changing it all around, as well as the bit dpeth (16,24 and 32). I have no idea what can be the problem. This should be the most simple recording job there is...

I have the same issue. Did you already fixed this?

Well, kind of - I switched to Audacity 1.3. At first it didn't matter at all, but then in the preferences, I checked the option in the recording options named "Software Playthrough", and for some reason it worked. Weird as hell, if you ask me.

I'll be happy to understand what does it has to do with the recording problem, but the most important thing is that it now works.

    Hope it'll help.

Thanks. I will give it a try!

    Edit: Still no luck...
