Recommendations for fixing songs that don't play past a certain point?

I can't figure this one out.

It's affecting 2 songs. (Out of hundreds.)

These are purchased AAC tracks from the iTunes Music Store that play fine in the iOS Music app and on my Mac in iTunes.

I do NOT use iTunes Match.

The song analyzes completely and I can see the entire waveform.

However, Traktor DJ will not play past a certain point in the song, nor can I shuffle past it.

I find it odd that I can see the whole waveform but I can't play it.

I've tried a few things, like:
    1. unsynching the track then putting it back.
    2. loading the track into the other deck
    3. soft resetting the iPad.
Anyone else have this problem and figure out a solution?

My solution was to transcode it to MP3. Not ideal.

I had the same problems with mp3, only 2 of about 700. the only workaround was a transcoding again, as you did. No idea, why TDJ struggled with this 2 songs.

What kind of iPad? iPad 2, Wi-Fi. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything.

And, these tracks play fine using Traktor DJ for iPhone. So frustrating.

Tested with iPad2 (no WiFi) and a iPad3 WiFi, both same issue.

I assume a certain combination of bit and bytes in the song cause this issue, I'm sure that's a simple bug in the code, some dirty coding from a non experienced developer.

But don't worry, seems to touch less than 1% of the songs, and for these songs I recode. I would be happy to have for the other bugs also such a simple workaround ;)

I fixed that problem once deleting the song from the ios device and upload again with the itunes library

Hi, I'm also experiencing the same issue as the original poster. Except I don't have a separate computer to transcode the affected file or reimport from iTunes. Any ideas?

Particularly frustrating because the track not playing is an absolute tune!

    Thanks

you don't need an seperate computer for the re/transcoding of a song, there are also iPad apps available doing this job (e.g. app Hokusai Audio Editor), but in any case: you need a Mac or PC with iTunes to reimport the transcoded song into the iOS music library
