Record Pools for STEMS

I own an F1 and a couple D2s and really want to play more with STEMS. The main problem is with the average price of $3 per track it's expensive to build up a library. If I were to buy 300 tracks it'll equal $900 before taxes.

Are there any record pools that provide STEMs?

No ... There dont seem to be any pools offering STEMS as "Promo" for DJs

I can not imagine that it would be all that hard to start up a record pool for Stems, it seems like a lot of djs are interested in getting something like that going.

i don't think there is enough stems content to make it work. all of the sites that sell stems file basically have the same stems catalog. unfortunately it doesn't seem to be catching on. i don't see any other dj hardware or software companies supporting the format. do you?

I wouldn't be surprised if we never know just how well Stems format is doing.
To really know each and every popular Dj and playlist would need to be made available and tracked.
I have seen a couple posts saying they use Stem format a lot.
Also the type seems to stay in the house or minimal genre.
It also is a very handy tool. Meaning a stem track can be a basic addition to a mix, not the meat and potatoes.(my opinion)
To mix a whole set with just stems may work but most likely(my opinion again) be an opener or a more mellow lounge or bar atmosphere.
Not a festival headliner doing the top tracks.
This is all my assumption and may or may not be accurate, but my point is, how could anyone know what format is used unless it is made public?
As well any producer or dj that can make their own might use the stems for parts to a mix and never share or download other stem tracks.
It is a nice option Traktor has, and also could be adopted more as time goes by. Or maybe it is popular I don't know, the forum is not going to reflect use either, unless each person gets on here just to promote?
Just as Remix Sets seem old and passed, many still use the advanced features of the decks for their own samples.
Really a feature or an effect may not be the main part of a mix, but add or be used as needed.

i'm judging the success of the stems format based upon the amount and quality of music that is commercially available. because at the end of the day that it what matters. i've been following stems releases closely for the past year and i've not found much that i have liked.

Yeah honestly I have had a hard time finding what I like also, but what's strange is the stem tracks I made and some of the ones I thought would be good are not what seems to mix well for me.
Surprisingly some of the NI free tracks with a basic sound seem to work better.
It would be nice to actually hear some good mixes and see how others work Stems. But that also requires a camera view of the S8 or D2, etc.
I am guessing Stems and Beatport and NI artist/Djs use the content that is realeased and are producing mostly the tech-house, minimal, type of groove. Which I do like but sounds very similar between tracks.
But anyway here is a Beatport set with Florian and Stems, definitely a techno set and it sounds quite smooth. No pop style or any club bangers but very constant smooth mix.

Check out Soundeo. They have memberships from $10 a month and you up to 40 downloads a day with almost all stems released available.

It's legit, works like a record pool. You have to vote for tracks and not available for download until they get like 4 votes or something. I've been using it for over a year now with no problems.

I know how it works, but i am asking from a legal perspective.

First: Downloads from there often have Beatpot or similar in the file description.
Second: There are reports from people, that their tracks ar there on sale without their permission and without beeing paid.
Third: Domain Registree from Pakistan, Hosted in Netherlands, Subnet Registree from London, Domain registered via proxy service, FAQ in russian language

Stems are awesome and tbh now the format is established enough that we are having this conversation then i find it hard to believe it will disappear all together .. As a Pro Dj wannabe producer myself among many thousands of others I see the massive advantages of using stems in my set, it makes no difference what becomes commercially available to you as a Dj unless you want to be or, are happy being generic.. Stems and the amazing step sequencer give you the tools to be Unique and considering we can create our own stems for free judging this formats success and if your going to support it or not shouldn't really be the topic here , the topic should be as mentioned in another thread, pooling Stems created by people. Maybe there already is one ?

Just posted a link to this. Lol how well does it work? Will it be good for live remixes? Or just to grab parts of a song to remix in Ableton?

i got 14 STEMs tracks of Sci-Tec from Juno for $17 and jane really enjoyed blending and mixing them. it really made me more a believer in the creative power of STEMs as they are all similar enough to sound good swapping stems and for about $1.25 each it’s affordable.
for example, some track aren’t that impressive but one part of their stems is a nice variation mix with others.

+1 on Soundeo - it's a great pool offering both STEMS format, wav & mp3, so even if you don't always want STEMS you can go for one of the other options. Very affordable too and a great selection of music. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Also recommended for non-STEMS DJs.

Sorry for cooking this up again.
I am a Soundeo-User but have not found any stems, only mp3 and wav. Where can I find stems on Soundeo?

Till now I only found Beatport as stems-source for my music-style

    Thanks in advance
