Record, what program to use?

Hey,

I know, there's no Record option in LE version, thats why I'm asking what then to use?

I like LE how it is now, so can't be arsed yet to upgrade, don't have the money anyway. So what program can I use to record sound that my soundcard is currently producing?

I already tried Audacity and some Freeware thingy on internet, but when I playback, it sounds very quit.
Anybody knows the solution?
Or doesn anyone know a different program?

 

it depends on your sound card. Does it have out "what you hear"?
OS?

 

I have a Realtek HD.
I really don't understand those kind of things, could you explain me something more about how to use some features of the soundcard?

I'm running windows Xp btw.

Im in the same boat, but ive used audacity software when it came with the bcd and it recorded real ****, quiet and just not real good quality. What am i doing wrong? Do I need to buy a sound card?

Becarefull not to fool around with the recording programs.
When I tried lots of recording programs and all try those programs to set the recording device on my soundcard (Realtek HD Audio Output), my mic. was suddenly recording my soundcard instead of only my voice.
Weird things happen when you try record stuff from your soundcard.
