I just can't find out how it is possible to hear fx while you're recording audio (in my case: guitar).
This is what I do, using Maschines internal soundcard:

    1 I select a sound
2 I insert the audio plug in
3 I insert Guitar Rig as second in the plug in chain
4 I choose a preset inside guitar rig
5 I set the record mode to loop
6 I set the input to external, mono
7 I set the monitor on
    8 I start the recording

Now I can hear the guitar through my headphones, but without the effect. Only after I have recorded something I can hear the effect on playback.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately not possible the monitor functon sends the audio direct to the output and not through the channel,
that function - monitor\hear through channel - is missing

Yes, at first I thought that maybe it was not possible, but check the opening minute of this video: clearly he is playing guitar with FX, live! But how?

Thanks. I am not sure I get what you mean, but I will try when I am at my Maschine again.

OK on one pad you just load guitar rig (no sampler at first!!) and audio in you set to in whatever - then you can hear the guitar with fx!!
Then second pad is just for recording in a sampler or audio module with source set to pad one

Still having trouble. I can get an amp sound while recording guitar (thanks Uwe), but then the amp effect is baked in to the recording. Is there a possibility to record cleanly, but hear the effect (monitoring) while recording? That way I could adjust the sound after I recorded it.

Yes that should also work by routing it the other way around - pad 2 to pad 1 in my example.

Hello! Can you help me too? I've tried to do what you've been written but it doesn't work for me. What i do:

    1) Add Guitar Rig on pad 2 (https://pasteboard.co/IgxDhDO.png)
    2) Click on pad 1 and choose "Sampling" on Maschine
    3) Set "Ext MONO"-source and "IN 1L"-input for example.
    4) Select monior "ON" (i can hear my clean guitar)

However, i can't hear guitar with Guitar Rig effect when just play or try to record. Only clean guitar.
Help me please, i can't do it for many days. Maybe i need to give you more info - please tell me. And sorry for my english - i'm not native speaker)
    Thanks!

GR routing.PNG you have to routed pad 1 to pad 2?

No, but i did it right now, after you wrote and it doesn't help or i do something wrong. I can hear my guitar with Guitar Rig effect only when press on pad after my guitar is already recorded. However, i can't hear with effect while just playing guitar or record. I can make a video what i do step by step. Maybe it helps to understand what's wrong.

Try on pad 1 to set audio to in 1L or what you need then you hear the guitar and under sampling turn monitor off otherwise you will hear a mix of clean and through GR
And dont forget for sampling go always back to pad 1!!

Uwe was of great help, but his tutorial helped me the most to solve this thing. Includes written step by step guide. The guy has some other very clear Maschine tutorials too. Good luck!
