Ok, I'm completely lost. Can somebody explain to me in simple terms how I can record what I'm hearing on Reaktor to an audio track in DP4 on OSX? The NI "support guy" told me to read up on the "bounce" feature, but that doesn't make sense to me because wouldn't I need to have recorded audio tracks in the first place?

    1. First, post this question in the Reaktor forum.
    2. If you have recorded midi tracks using a soft synth as the sound source, for example in Sonar, you would highlight both the midi and corresponding audio track and select the "bounce" option.
    3. You should be able to assign the output of the soft synth as the input of a regular audio track.
    4. If this doesn't solve it, see #1.

    okay,
    1) I meant to write "kontakt."
    2) bouncing to disk gives me a blank audio track.

Use Freeze, not bounce. Select the area of both the MIDI track and the Instrument track that you want to bounce, then hit Freeze from the Audio menu. Voila!
