I finally had a moment to fool around with the extended lock feature. You can't actually record your snapshot performance into a pattern? Please tell me I'm not doing it right.

No you're not, it's a performance feature only for now. However, I've seen this guy achieving it but I don't get how.

Looks like it is in VST mode... You can trigger LOCK via midi... so I guess in VST mode, you can record the performance in the host via midi..

Disclaimer... Have not gotten to it yet..

...you can switch between lock states by using midi program change messages or midi notes. If you're using Maschine in a DAW you can send these messages via the DAW or if you're using Maschine standalone, you can program these into your pattern, send them to a virtual midi cable and then back into Maschine.

Thanks. So it's possible, but not intuitive. I'm going to try to figure this out on my own, which could be dangerous. If you or anyone else can point to a link that explains how to do this, your time and effort would be greatly appreciated.

It blew my mind that I couldn't just hit record and tap in snapshot changes. Hopefully they will implement this ability in a future update. This is a powerful production tool.
