    Hi guys,
I'm having problems recording mixes from traktor and even though i can see that i've got an input signal on channel D on my DJ 8 nothing seems to be getting out to the laptop as the signal meter in the record box top right on traktor isn't recieving anything.
I've connected an RCA from my booth out on my mixer to channel D input on DJ 8 and changed my setting in 'recordings' to channel D but no joy... any ideas.
    thanks in advance.
    danny

I'm curious, to what end does connecting your mixer output back in to traktor serve?

I only ask cos it sounds like the perfect ingredients for a feedback loop.

If you plug the mixer output into the Audio 8, you can record sets using Traktor's recorder! A lot of mixers have separate outputs for this. It doesn't normally cause a feedback loop.

I misread, I thought he meant channel D as in DECK D....!

I use traktors audio recorder myself! lol

In settings, in the INPUT tab, make sure that you have routed channel 7 & 8 to channel D otherwise the sound coming INTO your audio 8 is not being sorted to the right location by Traktor.

okay, i got the recording to work, but its not working right. when i am on the left turntable, the recording meter shows full sound from left & right. but, when i switch to the right one, i only get one side....? i looked in the input settings & without me doing anything, it has the following setup; channel a has the left as (1 in 1 ch a right) & the right as (2 in 2 ch b left). then for b it has the left as (3 in 3 ch a right) & the right as (4 in 4 ch b left). then for channel c it has the left as (6 in 6 ch c left) & the right as (5 in 5 ch c right). then for channel d it has the left as (8 in 8 ch d left) & for the right it has the right as (7 in 7 ch d right). ANd when I go to the puul down arrow to see what I can change it to, it doesnt give me any other options, only what is listed. seems to me like something isnt right there. anybody have a solution?
