When i try recording with 2 tracks the tracks don't record separately...if I'm cuing up channel 2 in my headphones by moving the jog wheel around, any thing that i do on channel two is heard in the mix(cross fader is all the way to the channel one side and the volume for channel two is even down.) basically the mix will not separate the channels. any ideas?

    I am using 2 CDJ2000, Allen & Heath 92, Audio 8, Macbook with Traktor Pro 2.

You will need to route the RECORD output of the Xone 92 into one of the inputs of your Audio 8, route this to one of your deck inputs, then select the correct input for the Mix Recorder.

I have the same problem as "When i try recording with 2 tracks the tracks don't record separately...if I'm cuing up channel 2 in my headphones by moving the jog wheel around, any thing that i do on channel two is heard in the mix(cross fader is all the way to the channel one side and the volume for channel two is even down.) basically the mix will not separate the channels. any ideas?"...

But I am using a mixdeck....How might I set it up?

Are you using Internal or External mixing mode?

What do you have set as your Record source at the moment?

I have experimented with both internal and external. I think the problem is the recording setting as well as not knowing how to wire it differently than how I would to gig. I usually just take the master out to my Yamaha amp. Or into my denon piece. So for recording I do not know how to wire it differenly. In the back I have RCA's master, Booth, recording, aux1, aux2, cd1, cd2. Not sure hot to setting this all up. I guess I thought I could set it up as usual, press record and it would all be good.

Internal mixing is the easiest way to get a recording.

If you're using external, you'll need to connect the Record or Booth output to an available input, route that input to one the Traktor decks, and select that deck as the record source.

Recording with Internal mixing mode should not pick up your headphone cueing. You can still use the Mixdeck as a MIDI controller when in Internal mode.

Okay, Please don't get irritated, but I tried the internal and it seems to work if I use the internal crossfade, but my mixdeck will not crossfade it. So if I were to connect via record or booth so I can do external, do you have an idea how I may do that. For now I am using an amp with many channels with unpowered JBL's. Thanks for your time.

You need to have a mapping installed for your Mixdeck to control the faders in Traktor. There are plenty available on the internet if Numark don't provide one already.

Alright. Finally did it for anyone who cares. I have an Audio DJ by NI and my mixdeck. I took the two aux channels into the outs of the Audio DJ sound card and then too the booth and the record from the mixdeck to the ins of both channels on the audio DJ. Once it was all hooked up set Traktor for external in mix recorder selecting channel A, but it didn't matter since I had both the booth and record connected to each channel. Once the booth volume was up it was all good. I can many volumes to adjust, but It all worked out. Thanks for your help Makar1. And thanks youtube for some more direction.
