    Hi everyone,

I'm new here to the forum as well as to NI.

Yesterday I downloaded the Komplete 7 demo pack to see if it was something I would care to purchase.

I installed it on my iMac and got it running in Logic 8.

    So far so good ...

I found some amazing sounds, but i couldn't seem to record them either as Midi or Audio ... then i found a solution.

1.) Create an instrument track and assign the output to a bus #.
Load Reaktor5 as an instrument on this track.

2.) Create an audio track and assign the input as the same bus # in the instrument track. Assign the output to 1-2. ( assuming you want a stereo audio file)

3.) Turn the Reaktor power off until you record on the audio track.

4.) Start recording the audio track and turn on the Reaktor5 with the sound you want to record.

5.) Once done recording the sound you want, hit stop and edit the audio file as you normally would to eliminate any dead air at the beginning and end of the file.

It took me a while to figure this out as Komplete 7 is not as user friendly as other sound generators that I've used ...

Anyone know if I really have only 30 minutes to play with this demo ?

    Welcome =)

You have 30 minutes at a time; then you need to restart the app. The demo completely times out after 30 days.

Also, what Komplete demo pack? :~

should this question be for the Traktor Forum?

it is also against Forum rules to duplicate posts :|

    Thanks EW

Thanks for answering my question about the demo expiry EW.

I guess i better sample all the sounds i can before that happens.

I'll probably purchase it next year as i just got Electri6ity yesterday and that has a steep learning curve. I have some questions about using it in Kontakt, but i guess i should post my queries on the Kontakt threads.

Glad to be part of this community.

    Best Regards,

    Actually ...

    hey EW,

I went to go play with some more samples off of Reaktor and it's already disabled.

I used it for barely 20 minutes and the demo is no longer functional.

There is NO 30 day trial period , it IS actually 30 minutes or barely so ...

Hardly enough time to see if I would purchase it.

    Let's see ...

    1. ) Great sounds

    2. ) Not user friendly

    3. ) Company does not give potential customers enough time to evaluate product.

    4. ) Forums are full of people with problems either getting products to run, run properly or to understand how to operate products.

    More cons than pros ...

    I suspect i will not purchase ...

    Regards,

    tawmy

    tawny,
some years ago I start with demo of Reaktor 4 and bought Reaktor Session.
When the user read, I doubled it in my mind, the manual and tried out more or less: Reaktor is user friendly, Reaktor is cheap. I got an update to R5 for 138 € and a free update to 5.5, that's a good potencial of NI.

Tawmy, ALL forums for all products are full of people with problems. People don't tend to post on forums just to say they like the software. That's what forums are primarily for, to take the strain off of customer services and support.
You downloaded a demo which timed out after 30 minutes, you have to restart the software. Its a demo, whaddaya expect?
