Recording using ASIO4ALL

I have Kontakt 6 Full Version running on my Windows 10 Computer. When I select Driver: ASIO, Device: Realtek High Definition Audio, I get sound from my midi device but can not record it. Also if I want to play along with a song from youtube, the youtube video does not have sound anymore with AISO4ALL.
Am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

 

Asio is an exclusive sound driver so that's normal behavior.

A buddy has Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio. He has his Preference: Sound Device set to ASIO. He inserts a video into the section that has his instruments. He then can click on play, it plays the video, he can play along with it and record it.
All this time I've been telling him my Kontakt 6 is better than his Mixcraft - so does this mean I'm wrong?
Do I have any options to play along with a video in Kontakt 6?
I know if I use the computers Realtek I can but the ASIO sounds better

 

It also depends on the audio interface, I can also do it but in some cases it just don't work. It has nothing to do with kontakt it is a driver issue.
