I have Behringer edition of guitar combo's.

I have not registered yet as I am still evaluating which combo I want to stick with.

The problem I am having is when I use the Tape Deck on the combo's to record I can not open the file using a external sample editor such a soundforge.

Soundforge does not recognise the file format.

Using properties to investigate shows the recording saved as 24bit stereo. I can paste the sample into Krystal but it only shows up as a mono sample on one channel.

I have also used a samlpe editing util called wavasuar, with the same effect. Only loads up as Mono.

    Any Clues?.

I just checked out the above, now I'm back home, and no Guitar Combo doesn't have that option. This means the following bit may be your best option until somebody comes up with a better idea... or you upgrade to XE and do the above...

P.S. If you want to keep what you've already recorded, I think if you use something like Audacity, you may be able to 'swap-sides' with the 'mono' channel and save the swapped channel version as a new file. Then create a new project, importing both 'mono' L & R versions, then mix-down the project to a 'stereo' version.

Hi, I recently got Guitar Combos III with a Behringer UCG102 USB interface. I've been mucking about, recorded a few things and opened with Audacity to try and convert to mp3 but the recording is off my input i.e no effects, how do I record so that an external program gets the whole output rather than the input pre amp modeler?

The Behringer editions of Guitar Combos don't record with effects, nor do they ship with plug-in versions. You'd nee to upgrade. By the way, the new Guitar Rig Mobile, which comes with Guitar Rig SE and and a *much* nicer interface than your Behringer.

Hi Mark, thanks for this. Considering I've just bought the behringer USG102 I'm not really looking at buying further hardware and all I really want to do is record ideas to send out to band members so they have exposure to it before we go to the studio. I'm not looking at producing anything, just recording my jams. What's my cheapest option, in terms of upgrading the software to allow me to record with effects?

Upgrading to the lowest priced Guitar Rig that works as a plug-in, which I think is Guitar Rig SE. You should contact your local dealer. Your interface will work with it. I think XE will cost you more than the price of Guitar Rig Mobile, which comes with its own interface (which is better than what you have)...
