    Hi All,

Currently, im not using Traktor PRO to actually perform with however i am looking at using it for its recording facilities, to record a LIVE mix that i do on a Friday and Saturday nights...

I have all the connections done correctly and the music is coming into the Audio 8 box and into the laptop however it doesn't seem to be recording the music... just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this at all?

    Thanks All, Dom

Make sure to double check your input routing.

Well i checked my input routing and it showed that the music was playing and the little turquoise equalizer is moving next to the inputs...

Well... i will tell you the setup that i have...

    2x Stanton C314s
    1x Stanton 2-Channel Mixer

So, when i go into Traktor, i select external soundcard and then set that up correctly... but then when i go into recording, i can select channel A-D but... i thought that it would ask me the option of selecting A + B but it doesnt...

If i select just channel A will that not just record from Deck A or what...

Thanks for your help so far :)

You should try to use Channel D for recording your mixes like in Traktor 3 i suppose ;)

If you are using external mixer and TT`s its really easy. Go in to preferences and chose recordings. You then set it to external soundcard and channel D. You need to hook up your Audio 8 to your external mixer through boot out or record out on your mixer. (you`ll easily see on the audio 8 where channel D is (line 7/8).)

And like that, you`re good to go:)

Boot out or alternatively master 2?

The mixer that i love using is the Stanton M202 which doesnt have any of those inputs, just the basics really... I have everything set up correctly and i thought that TP would simply record "generally" anything that is played through... obviously not... Anyway around this?

Is there any type of "plugin" which can be purchased to record now using Traktor SP then?

Eh? The audio goes out through the soundcard in 2 channels into your mixer, where you mix it. So the only way you can record your mix is to record the sound coming out of your mixer, no? So if you are mixing live, then the only way to record by Traktor is if you had some extra outputs on your amp you could then run into your audio 8

I have the stuff connected to the right channels & set up to record for an external mixer & have the file set up to record.... But, what makes it record? I see the little record button at the top by the clock, but nothing happens or even lights up when I try to click it & I have no recording on any file.

So, does the audio 8 etc have a record out / inputs? My interface is inside the korg zero4 so FireWire should do the whole thing, surely... I've had it recording from internal an the eq was dancing away. But nothing on external. On ch a b c or d. Hmmmm!
