    Hi fellow forum users!
I'm new to the world of traktor and have just got a pioneer djm-t1 as my starting block with scratch pro 2.. i'm very much interested in recording vinyl but have no external soundcard as the mixer has its own built in to the unit.. now is it possible to record from vinyl using just 2x1210's a djm t-1 and a pc laptop? do i need another soundcard or not? or extra cabling to use the other outs on the mixer maybe? my knowledge of the technical wording is about zero unfortunately so if someone could explain simply if it is or isn't possible that would be an excellent start!
Many thanks in advance  WHO-RAA

use an input from your soundcard or from your computers soundcard

like i said i'm a total newcomer so unfortunately thats not enough info for me..thanks for the quick response though :) the mixer is a traktor controller too so i guess i use the record out on the mixer but if thats all i have (no external laptop soundcard) can i record because the scratch pro program reads my mixer directly? i don't know how to link the two basically... the mixer has a record out (check) vinyl ready on turntable (check) traktor open (check) what next?

i would use an out side software and route the mixer output to the line input of the computer.
