Is anyone else getting really muffled sound when recording your mixes? It sounds like someone slapped a LPF on my mix. I have checked every setting in both Traktor and my Zero4 (and switched out cables), and everything is fine. I don't have another mixer to use a reference to see if there is a problem with mine. Any thoughts?

    hello,
I run rca cables from the rec out to cd/line channel 4 and in traktor record channel 4. when I do this if the channel 4 fader is pushed up more than half way I get the effect you describe. If the fader is pushed down it still records and sounds fine.

I record by selecting inputs 8 and 9 (9 and 10 for Windows users I think) for Channel D's inputs. Nice clean sound every time.

the way i have it now (i'm on a mac) is the rec. out going into phono in on channel 4. my deck d outputs are set to 6/7 and my deck d inputs are the same.

As long as you're giving up the deck D input for recording, try simply setting the deck D inputs to 8 and 9 then recording deck D.

Telly, if you wouldn't mind, can you give me a detailed description of your exact setup. Your 8/9 isn't making sense to me. Sorry, I think something is getting lost in the translation here. Thanks in advance!

Set deck D's input to L: 8 and R: 9 in the Input preferences. Go to the Recording section and set it to EXTERNAL, Channel D.

I am a little confused as well. My Audio 8 DJ only goes up to 7/8 for the highest channel. Are you using a different audio interface?

We're talking about the Korg Zero4 here. It's got tons more inputs.
