recording

Hello,

I am currently getting to grips with Maschine as I bought it this week. I have 2 questions at the moment, be great if you could help me out.

1. When i load a drum kit and follow the instructions from the N.I tutorial videos, i press play, it just plays a demo of the drum kit and does not allow me to hit record. How do you I get the demo version of the selected group drum kit to go away?

2. If I want to record a bass part, select the bass sound and press "PAD MODE", it doesnt put the bass notes through out the 16 pads. It has one bass note and the remainders are all drum kit sounds.

Regarding the first question, once your kit is loaded, just hold down the SHIFT button and then hit the CLEAR pad (9) and it will wipe clean.

You can do it on the software by individually deleting each note by right click

or sweeping along a line with a right click held down

or by just going up into the top right hand corner and right click dragging down to the bottom left and then hitting DELETE on your computer.

Q2- I just tried this and found once the kit is loaded ( Im assuming youre talking about selecting say, the kick drum or some other part of the loaded kit) then press the pad of that kick drum, usually Pad 1.

That highlights that particular sound.

Then hold SHIFT and hit PAD MODE button and it will load that sound, notes ascending, throughout the 16 pads.

Ive posted a question regarding a delay between me hitting the pad and the response in Maschine every 4or 5 hits.
Its really annoying .
It doesnt happen when its not on Record but once I hit RECORD and drum, thats when it goes wonky.
