Recordings in Track Collection

How can I prevent that Traktor recordings are getting part of my Track Collection?

My Traktor Preferences are:
- Mix Recorder > File > Directory: D:\Recordings\
- File Management > Music Folders > D:\Beatport and D:\Bootlegs

I don't understand why this is happening,... even the consistency check report shows my new recordings.

When I click "Track Collection" in the upper left corner of my Traktor Browser I see the recordings displayed. When I click 'All Tracks' I don't see the recordings displayed. Everytime I see a recording I remove it including tags (2nd check box).

 

traktor is designed that way..nothing to fix there.

It's a pretty poor design choice.

Better design: don't automatically add mixes. People that want to automagically have their mixes added to their collection can add the folder the specified for recordings to their music folders (under preferences -> file management).

Alternatively, you could have the recordings folder under music folders by default and allow people to remove it from there. However, I think my first suggestion is more logical.

 

design of browser and recordings etc... is another discussion. you will have to use traktor the way it is for now if you want to keep using it that is .

The only thing we can do is hope that n.i. wants to improve traktor is the way that it's customers want .

well, it depends on the perspective. you could also record tracks from your vinyls, digitalizing them. then you definitely would want them to have in your collection immediatly.

 

Just give an option in the preferences, simple as that.

 

i' happy about every preference option we dont have. luckily the prefs have been decluttered over the years.
actually, i dont see a real issue in just moving a recording away from traktors folder structure if you dont want to have it in your collection. nevertheless, you can write that to support as feature suggestion.
