Refreshing the collection...keeping playlists intact?

    Dear friends,

    I tried to lighten my collection and also to make it more efficient. I deleted many folders and also tagged and renamed lots of mp3s.

    Then i did consistency check and ofcourse i had missing tracks. Relocate took ages and then program froze (it was a big number of tracks). At that point i think i did the mistake to clear my collection (first option) and then import my music folders from scratch.

    Everything was imported great,and showed with correct characters e.t.c, but my playlists did not work. I could see the list, but i could not expand them so to see the tracks.

    What should i do? Which is the correct procedure? I want to make dramatic changes to
    lots of folders and correct tags , but my only concern is my playlists.
