Regristration problem

    Hi folks

    Ive just got the s49 today, downloaded the software installed it, registered the hardware online.

    Service centre asks me for a serial code for the software.

    I have komplete content for maschine and i purchased the cross grade to become komplete 9.

    Where would i find the said serial?

    Did you receive K9 on discs? If so, the serial # is on the disc case? If you received a download, then you must wait for NI to email you the serial #.

    Yeah I've got the crossgrade on disc
    Tried that serial and it didn't work

    Woah....what's up with that? That's not right. You need to contact NI customer service so they can give you a new serial #. I would even go as far as taking a photo of the serial # on the case as proof.

    Exactly. I've raised a ticket so we shall see what they say.

    On the plus side the 30 minute demo was good fun lol

    Does anyone know how long it will take support to respond?

    Be a bit disappointing not being able to use all the features for a week haha!

    Your serial for K9 should also be available in 'My Serials' on the NI site (User Accounts)... might be worth checking there? :)

    ive looked on the site, and the serial for k9 is there, same as what is on my service centre. So i shall i try that again tonight.

    Maybe its because i have bought the cross grade to upgrade to k9? i dont know

    Actually is the Komplete kontrol just for K10 or k9 also?

    It's for K9 & K10.

    If you had K9 before the launch NI should have sent you an email about KK with a download link and a serial. (Did you check your junk mail? :) )

    I didn't get any disks with my S61, downloaded the software, and no email. Hardware is registered in my account, software isn't. Tech support emailed me back and told me to do stuff I already did, and that I'd get an email. I've not gotten an email yet. This really is a royal pain. Should be much more simple and easy.

    NI tech support would not respond to me, so after a full week, I contacted my vendor, Sweetwater, and THEY got my registration number, and helped me get up and running. NI teach support is pretty nonexistent.

    It's definitely an issue. I had that problem when I bought the s49. The only thing that saved me was the fact that I have komplete ultimate 10 also so it automatically activates. Otherwise they never sent a activating serial for me either.

    I can't believe this is happening to me either...Waiting for an answer from the support team to be able to use the not-so-well-working-touchstrips from my so expensive s-61...
    How long before an answer to my ticket ? Place your bets...

    ribbon problem here too - I contact support for an installation issue NEVER got a response - apparently their chosen style of support is to not respond. I may try again but their rep is bad in this area.... disgraceful.

    Yesterday I brought my s61 back to GC because of the ribbon - ... they have ordered me another one I'll have it next week. (FTR: I did the firmware update and still ribbon problems.)

    I just contacted my reseller as suggested in this thread because apparently resellers can sometime solve NI's******** better than NI themselves...

    Not sure if this is the case with the ribbon issues mentioned here but when I first used the touchstrips I thought they didn't work very well at all... until I realized (with trial and error) that I needed to put more of my finger pad on the strip (so my finger position was more horizontal rather than vertical).

    Good news is,it works like a charm inside Maschine without the need to authorize KK software ! Touchstrips seem to be working fine for the moment...

    Where is my Fxxxing serial number? All I need is this goddamn number and NI dont response me AT ALL.
