I wanna do a fresh install of TP, to see if it helps to solve my problem with crashes.

How should I do it? Install above the already installed? Remove it and then install it again from scratch?

If its the second option, how do I make sure I won't lose any of my settings and my library?

It should work just by uninstalling and re-installing but be sure to make a backup of the "Native Instruments" folder in "my documents" just in case.

If your on Mac there is an Uninstall Utility in the Download Section.

Windows here. Just uninstall the application and re-install it?
It will keep the folders with the settings and then use it when I install again? No need to configure everything again, like MIDI-mappings and stuff?

No. Make a back up of your current folders. Then do an Uninstall .
You can then copy over your old settings folder and TSIs if you wish.

Why do you need to do a re-install mate ?

When is Traktor crashing on you ?

OK. Reinstalled it sucessfully! No need to backup any folders or files. (of course I did backup).

Just uninstalled, restarted Windows, installed again, and when Traktor was loaded it was like I never touched anything. Great!

Now lets try it. If it crashes me just once more, I'll go back to Ableton. :D

I had freezing problems with 1.2.1 version but the new 1.2.2 hotfix seems to have fixed that, have you tried it?
