Personally, I'm pretty sure the implementation is as intended, which would leave the diagram that would need fixing. It's obvious that it's A, R, R, A. But the main problem here is that I don't think attack and release are the correct names for these parameters. Out (adjusting outward slopes) and In (adjusting inward slopes) seems more correct to me.

...just thought, this might be insightful for those, who wonder, whether the critcism on MX's sound quality was justified. I think, it's actually a good and understandable explanation without going into too much into the technical details (which doesn't seem to be many people's concern at all).

A lot of the controversy about MX seems to have been caused by certain misconceptions and inaccurate conclusions. One misconception seems to be, 'Massive X doesn't behave like e.g. Serum, ergo it's a bad synth'. Or 'it's a digital synth, ergo its sine wave shouldn't have overtones' - even practically inaudible ones. And the inaccurate conclusion to me seems to be caused by the attitude of some commentators (which I'm, in fact, insinuating) - 'I'm not satisfied with NI, random Youtube commentator criticises MX, i.e. either he is or must be right or at least is not wrong - ergo it's a bad synth'.

How to open old Massive 1.5.5 sound files (e. g. from Queensbridge Story) that is using the nmsv file format in Massive X?
I don't really like having to use the old Massive 1.5.5 inside Komplete Kontrol to open these files...

You cannot. Massive X is a completely different synth to old Massive, patches are not compatible. This has been mentioned in the Massive X FAQ for months now.

Just tried to assign aftertouch, but then remembered Maschine doesn't support aftertouch for some inexplicable reason:( A feature of their own synth doesn't work in their own softwareo_O

Neither do their own keyboards (S Series anyway)

S-series keyboards do have aftertouch, what are you talking about.

I know - I was just saying that's another inconsistency between Maschine and other NI products - aftertouch in the S Series is ignored when using Maschine.

Same here (minus the Casio part!). I'm usually a preset junkie and no synth has really grabbed me until I tried Massive X. The quickstarts got me on my way and I can play and come up with sounds I like.

I'm looking forward to the updates that will surely come our way. I'd love to see animations for modulation on the UI although an option to turn it off would be great if it gets distracting.

Massive X is a cold, diseased skunk turd. NI, otherwise, is an excellent company with excellent products like Absynth 5 and Kontakt.

There's nothing cold about MX, really. There's also no reason for such language.
