    Hello NI guys,

I am a controllerist and love the S4 with my Midifighter but I have an issue with the user mapping feature for the S4. I use 2 decks (a/b) + 2 sample decks (c/d) and the 4 fx modules. I'm a pretty advanced user and a software engineer so I make some pretty advanced mappings for my midifighter and my S4 but my problem is with the strangeness that occurs with the default mapping and user mapping together.

For example, I dedicated FX1 and FX2 to the controls provided on the S4 and created macros on my MidiFighter to control FX3 and FX4 on various decks. I have remapped the FX toggles on all 4 decks to route to FX1 and FX2 respectively so that I can stay out of the way of my macro driven FX modules (3/4). When I did this, I can't remap the LED's to actually work. There is something in the default config that is colliding.

My suggestion: If I map an output (such as LED) and it matches something in the default table such as "when FXx is on" it should deactivate that rule in the default so that I can actually use it. Or, if there was a way to go in to "Uber-Advanced-If-You-Touch-This-It-Could-Break-Mode" so that I can view and get in to the S4 default mapping table to make changes to things like LED output mappings. I would love it.

Or you can make me go away by adding a setting in the S4 config that lets me mess with the fx button routing so that in 4-FX mode I can make it work like its in 2-FX mode regardless. I'm sure that would be well received because many people I know end up using this mapping (http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/mappingview.aspx?id=106) because of other controllers (like the X1 or Machine running the 3/4 FX banks).

    Just a thought.
